Privacy Policy

IT Support Surrey respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we look after it. We follow British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
When you call, email or send a form, we collect what you choose to give us: usually your name, company, email, phone number, location, number of staff, what you need help with, how urgent it is, your current IT arrangements and any notes.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the referring page, for security and to keep the site running.
How we use it
To respond to your request, troubleshoot or quote a job, book a technician, carry out work you ask for, keep records of that work and meet our legal obligations. We may phone or email you about your request.
Who we share it with
With service partners who help us assess or carry out your job, and with providers that run this website and deliver its email. They may use your information only for that purpose.
We never sell personal information. We disclose it only where the law requires.
Information on your systems
While fixing or setting up your technology, we may be able to see information stored on your computers or accounts. We access only what the job requires and never copy or keep it beyond what the work needs.
Retention
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above and for legal and record-keeping requirements, then delete or anonymise it securely.
Safeguards
We use reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards, including multi-factor authentication and encryption. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If spam protection is switched on for our forms, it may set a cookie needed for that check.
Your rights
